  Command and Conquer

One of the all-time classics from any genre and easily the most important RTS game ever made Command and Conquer really was the game that put the whole genre on the map, the only bad thing about the N64 port is obviously the inferior controls which certainly take some time to get used to.

  Ready 2 Rumble Boxing

A very cool, enjoyable boxing game that never took itself too seriously with the focus squarely on fun.

  Iggy's Wrekin' Balls

Fantastic fun in multi-player but pretty dire for the single, Iggy's wrekin' Balls has you racing and jumping around courses with grappling hooks, weird but great and unique..

  Buck Bumble

Made by half the people that brought you Star Fox on the SNES, Buck Bumble is definately a little rough around the edges, fans of shmups who like a challenge should really check it out though as there's definateley a lot of frenetic action to be had. Buck Bumble does however admittedly have some stiff competition on the system and I would say that those who get frustrated easily are probably better off with the much more consistantly excellent Star Fox 64 or Rogue Leader.

  Gauntlet Legends

Hack N' Slash dungeon crawler, it's great fun but only if you have some friends along for the adventure.

  Nuclear Strike

Another great game in the "Strike" series which started out on the 16-bits with Desert Strike, the aim is to fly about shooting and completing mission objectives.

  Kirby 64

Kirby 64 is a nice fun little 2.5D platformer for the system, it's unfortunately not bursting with as many ideas as earlier games in the series (which is why it didn't place higher) but the Kirby gameplay of old is still there in spades.

  Duke Nukem 64

Duke Nukem was getting on a bit by the time it appeared on the 64' and it had a lot of difficult competition but it always had a certain feel of it's own which makes it a classic, the 4-player mode was pretty excellent too in this case.

  Lego Racers

The greatest thing about Lego Racers was all the customizable options for making your own vehicles out of Lego, underneath it all though it's really just another fun Mario Kart style clone, creative fans of Kart racers should definately check it out for the customisable options.

  Gex 64

Gex 64 was a pretty good Mario 64 style game that originally came out for the PS1, unfortunately by the time it came to the 64' it had way too much superior competition on the system, still a good game though nonetheless.

  The New Tetris

I know Tetris is Tetris no matter what system it comes out for, but seriously the game is a puzzle classic that pretty much always needs to be mentioned, this version had a new 4-player mode included too.

  Hybrid Heaven

A great story and a very interesting and in-depth battle system are the order of the day with Konami's Hybrid Heaven, it's not the most accessible of games out there but for fans of this type of game it's well worth checking out.

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Vigilante 8

Vigilante 8 is a bit of a Twisted Metal clone, you drive around an arena taking out the opposition, a lot of fun in multiplayer.

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Turok
Turok was a very important release for the N64 as it showed that the console could cater to the more adult gamers out there, the game was a well realised adaptation from the comic book, it's a bit heavy on the fogging but I think that just adds to it's swampy type look and feel.

  Star Wars Episode 1 Racer

Pretty much a Star Wars themed Wipeout game, it's a very great game with nice presentation nonetheless, not to mention having a Star Wars theme always gives a game points in my book.

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Battle Tanx Global Assault

Another tremendous multiplayer experience for the N64 (4-player games really seem to be a strong point of the system) unfortunately also another lacklustre single player though so use your best judgement if you're thinking about purchasing.

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine

A big improvement over the clunky PC original, Indiana Jones was a very nice and playable Tomb Raider alternative for N64.

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Mario Golf

Made by Camelot, the company who made Hot Shots golf for the PS1, and to be honest Mario Golf pretty much is the classic Hot Shots golf but with Nintendo's famous characters in it.

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Duck Dodgers
Another great Mario 64 type platformer/puzzle game, Duck Dodgers manages to really retain the feel of the cartoons and has some amazing presentation, I must say unfortunately it does however have the occasional camera issue, but its not anywhere near enough of an issue to stop it from being a great game.

  NHL 99'

Smooth controls, lots of fighting, and makes great use of the expansion pak.
