What we thought

"I quite enjoyed this game, but I'm not a fan of the guy who sporadically makes FMV appearances though, they would've saved a lot of money just scrapping that guy and the game would be better for it! All in all the game is pretty incredible for 1995, graphically its quite intense for its year as it has a fully 3D rendered polygonal environment with full texturing, which was still a rarity then."

"This is quite an impressive game and is quite advanced for the year it came out, remember this is still 6 months off from the Japanese release of the Playstation and as such was mainly competing with Mega Drive and SNES games. This has some very long, very detailed courses that go through a lot of transitions and the amount of work put into these courses is quite notable, in fact the amount of work put into all aspects of the game, from the handling of the cars to even the noises of their engines was admirable and made this perhaps the most realistic racer up to that point. For the time it came out its just so impressive that I have to give it the full score, but the game did date over time, eventually the big consoles turned up and after they'd hit their strides NFS was still pretty good but not quite as impressive."
