Mega Bomberman   Mega Bomberman
The Bomberman series, some of the most popular and addictive multiplayer games out there. This iteration is actually a downgraded port of the TG-16's Bomberman 94', but seeing as that was one of the best Bomberman games of all time this slightly lessor version still turns out great on Mega Drive, with the multi-player playing as excellently as it ever did.

Panic on Funcotron   Panic on Funkotron
The developers went for a much more linear platforming style to the second game in the series, and I feel that it helps to make the game a bit more accessible, The offbeat charm and humour that made the first game great is still there in spades too.

Elemental Master   Elemental Master
An interesting vertical scrolling shooter which has you playing on foot (instead of the usual spaceship) this has the effect of making environmental hazards play a larger part hare than in most other games of the genre, the game play is a class act throughout and there's some above average presentation with nice cut scenes too.

Shadow Dancer   Shadow Dancer
After making The Revenge of Shinobi Sega went back to their roots with Shadow Dancer, making it much more of a sequel to the original game than any of the other games of the series, as such Shadow Dancer is a very different experience to the other Mega Drive Shinobi games, being much more action based, with a more arcade orientated feel to it. Adding the dog to help you was also a very nice touch.

The Addams Family   Adamms Family on Genesis
Playing very much like an evil twin version of the Mario games, The Addams Family doesn't shy away from expecting the best from its player, punishing anyone not up to the challenge and rewarding those with perseverance some compelling non-linear game play that contains a lot of freedom.

Hyperstone Heist   Hyperstone Heist
Not quite up to the standard of the SNES' Turtles in Time, Hyperstone Heist is nevertheless still an awesome Turtles game to be proud of, its basically a remix of sorts of all the previous Turtles beat-em-ups played with the then up to date Turtles in Time game play and controls.

Samurai Shodown   Samurai Shodown on Genesis
Take Street Fighter and add weapons and animal helpers and you pretty much get what Samurai Showdown is about. The game was ported excellently to Mega Drive and unlike the Street Fighter ports really took advantage of the hardware. Probably my favourite SNK fighting game.

Comix Zone   Comix Zone
This really was a step in the right direction for the beat-em-up genre, here we have the usual classic fighting and action the genre is known for, but with the addition of puzzle solving, item management and branching paths to flesh out the experience a lot more. The whole game uses a unique style where the levels actually take place over the frames of a comic book which looks great and works very well.

Lost Vikings   Lost Vikings on Genesis
Perfect Puzzle/Platformer hybrid, you get three dwarves each with varying abilities and weaknesses and the feature of swapping them on the fly, the levels are built around working out which of the three best suits each obstacle ahead and using him accordingly. The Mega Drive version has slightly lower quality music over the SNES original, but does run in higher resolution and has some extra levels.

Battle Mania Dai Gin Jou   Battle Mania Dai Gin Jou
This import only sequel to Trouble Shooter was a huge improvement in pretty much every aspect, containing much more interesting level designs and some really impressive graphics. The game is basically a horizontal shmup but here you actually control two people at once, one of which can be set to forward or rear firing.
